FreeMusic operates via two primary programs. The first, "Provide" drives to get musical instruments and/or training materials into other organizations. These organizations can include soup kitchens, nursing homes, schools, and churches (among others). FreeMusic will work as an intermediary between individuals and organizations who wish to contribute to musically-driven benefit, and organizations looking for such donations. FreeMusic will work with receiving organizations to assess need, and allocate instruments or materials appropriately.
The second program, "Structure" focuses on establishing music programs (both training and social), and/or aligning volunteers. FreeMusic will work as a consultant with organizations interested in setting up musical programs in order for them to implement successfully. From instrument check-in/check-out protocols, to aligning local volunteers to teach and perform, FreeMusic's "Structure" program focuses on building something from nothing. The two primary offerings of FreeMusic allow organizations to build - from the group up - musical capability. Thus, FreeMusic spreads access to music.
